A Very Rainy September in Tokyo
This September has been an unusually rainy month in Tokyo. In fact, Tokyo experienced rain every single day in September (https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/be850adcd954bc8188f5c0cc8eb3fadc14b4ba86), following a long period of rainy weather that started in late August. By September 30, Tokyo had recorded rain for 35 consecutive days, setting a new record.
For me, one of the most annoying things about having so many rainy days is doing the laundry. When it rains almost every day, it is difficult to dry clothes outside. Even if I wash my clothes, I sometimes have to wait for a sunny day before I can hang them outside.
Fortunately, many apartments in Japan have a very useful function in the bathroom called 浴室乾燥 (bathroom drying). It allows you to hang your clothes inside the bathroom and use warm air to dry them relatively quickly. This is especially convenient during long periods of rain.
The only disadvantage is that using the bathroom dryer consumes electricity, so my electricity bill will be higher.
